Let’s talk – the consultation.
We like to start with an informal chat to explore your ideas for a new website. It really helps if we can understand your business and the requirements and expectations you have for the site. We can give you ideas on what is possible, help you decide on the most suitable package and answer any questions you have. This allows us to follow up with a customised quote so you can decide if you want to go ahead.
Planning your website.
Once you have agreed to go ahead its time to work together and plan the new site. We can help you choose a WordPress theme and map out the pages to build. There are thousands of themes to choose from, so we usually shortlist a few that we think are best suited to your business to help you choose. If you don’t already have a domain name, we can arrange this for you. We will also need you to provide all the text, images and any other content you want us to use for the build.
Building your website.
When we have the agreed the website plan, and have all your content from you, we are ready to start building. We will install WordPress and set up your chosen theme, customised with your logo and branding. Then we build all the web pages and configure any additional plugins we need to make the site work as planned. Depending on the site, we usually need 1-2 weeks to build this first draft after which its time for you to review.
Fine-tuning – getting your feedback.
Once we have built the first draft of your website, it is time to get your feedback. We will always aim to build the website based on the agreed project plan, however their are usually a few tweaks needed to get it looking perfect. We create a snag list from your feedback and work through the changes until you are happy with the finished result.
Your website is live!
Once we have completed any tweaks, it’s time to make your website live. We will ask you to sign off the finished site, we then configure your domain to make it live. After a few final checks, it’s time to tell your audience how to find you online. Once live, we can keep the site updated for you or teach you how to do it yourself. We are also on hand to assist with any online marketing you need to promote your new website.
